EuroPhenome: an online resource of mouse phenotyping data http://www.europhenome.org/ A new online resource called EuroPhenome has been developed to capture phenome data derived from mice using the standardised tests contained in EMPReSS (the European Mouse Phenotyping Resource of Standardised Screens). This first version of EuroPhenome contains pilot data which has been obtained on background strains (C57BL/6J, C3H/HeBFeJ, BALB/cByJ and 129/SvPas) by researchers working in the Eumorphia project which was funded by the European Commission (http://www.eumorphia.org). Over the next three years EuroPhenome will capture and manage phenotype data from the EUMODIC (http://www.eumodic.org) project, which aims to undertake a primary phenotype assessment of up to 650 mouse mutant lines. EMPReSS (http://empress.har.mrc.ac.uk) resource has also been developed. EMPReSS is a database of SOPs, developed by the EUMORPHIA consortium that can be used to describe the phenotype of a mouse.
